Font licenses

Free to download does not always mean free to redistribute. We check the license before adding a font to our downloads.

Our downloadable fonts

Every font currently hosted by FontPorch is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. This permits commercial design use and redistribution subject to its terms. The original license and copyright notices accompany every download.

• You may use these fonts in logos, websites, print designs, and other commercial projects.
• Keep the license and copyright notices when sharing the font files.
• Do not sell the font software by itself.
• Modified fonts have additional requirements, including restrictions involving Reserved Font Names. Our downloads are unmodified originals.

Premium fonts

Premium fonts linked on other websites have their own licenses. A paid license for using a font does not automatically give permission to distribute its files. FontPorch does not host those premium files.
